Maids in Shining Armor

Description:

This book includes several sets of lab notes for enchanting armor. The author carefully presents each project in clear detail. It appears that the author used a suit of Lorica Faranus for the original enchantments and that she made the suit her talisman so it could include all of the enchantments.

Shines the Maiden Fair (Lab Notes: Muto Imaginem Enchantment 5/9)
R: Personal, D: Sun, T: Individual

The wearer of the armor appears more forceful, authoritative, and believable. Numerous subtle changes in appearance bring about this change, including a slight supernatural illumination of the face, a more erect posture, and a louder and smoother voice. The character gets a + 3 bonus on rolls to influence, lead, or convince others. This benefit is constant while the armor is worn. (Base 3, + 2 sun) (+ 1 for two uses per day, + 3 for environmental trigger = constant)

Impostor’s Promise (Lab Notes: Muto Imaginem Enchantment 10/12)
R: Personal, D: Sun, T: Individual

By speaking a command word, the armor’s wearer can change herself to looks, sound, and smell different, though at least passably human. (Base 4, + 2 Sun) (+ 2 for three uses per day)

Silent Stalker (Lab Notes: Perdo Imaginem Enchantment 10/13)
R: Personal, D: Diameter, T: Part

By making a command gesture, the armor’s wearer can prevent herself from making any noise except that she can still speak normally. This allows the wearer to move in utter silence but still communicate and cast spells using her voice. (Base 3, + 1 Diameter, + 1 Part, + 1 changing image) (+ 3 for six uses per day)

Sentinel Unseen (Lab Notes: Perdo Imaginem Enchantment 5/8)
R: Personal, D: Diameter, T: Individual

By making a command gesture, the armor’s wearer can make herself unseen, so long as she does not move. The wearer still casts a shadow. (Base 4, + 1 Diameter) (+ 3 for six uses per day)

Warrior’s Fast Flank (Lab Notes: Rego Imaginem Enchantment 5/8)
R: Personal, D: Diameter, T: Individual

By making a command gesture, the armor’s wearer causes her image to appear up to one pace away from her true location so that attacks aimed at her are likely to miss. Whenever the image is successfully struck in combat, it disappears and reappears in another spot; the first attack against the armor’s wearer automatically misses and subsequent attacks suffer a – 9 penalty to Attack totals. (Base 2, + 1 Diameter, + 1 changing image, + 1 moved image matches changes) (+ 3 for six uses per day)
